Delhi’s Café Interiors: 5 Fresh & Stunning Ideas That Make You Want To Check Them Out!

Delhi's café scene is vibrant and ever-evolving, with new establishments continually raising the bar in both culinary offerings and interior design. Here are some of the latest cafés that have garnered attention on social media as of March 2025:

1. The Hazelnut Factory

  • Location: Aerocity, New Delhi

Originating from Lucknow, The Hazelnut Factory has opened its 11th outlet in Aerocity, New Delhi. This café seamlessly blends a bakery, café, and artisanal sweet shop. The interior design exudes warmth with its earthy tones, wooden accents, and ambient lighting, creating a cosy atmosphere for patrons. The layout is both functional and inviting, making it an ideal spot for casual meet-ups and relaxed work sessions.

We, at Aavarthan Studio, loved this cafe’s modern artisanal aesthetics, blending the warmth of handcrafted interiors with a contemporary café setup. They have incorporated biophilic elements, with indoor plants seamlessly integrated into wooden panels and rustic shelving. The use of burnished brass fixtures, natural oakwood counters, and exposed brick walls aligns with the growing trend of neo-traditional café interiors, which merge heritage with modernity.

The lighting scheme is also good.  A mix of warm recessed downlights and handcrafted pendant lamps are strategically positioned to create an intimate yet functional space.

Seating follows an ergonomic layout, offering communal tables for group gatherings and bar stools along high counters for solo visitors. This mix maximises space efficiency while enhancing foot traffic flow, a critical factor in high-footfall locations like Aerocity.

2. Nespresso Boutique

  • Location: New Delhi

Nespresso's flagship boutique in New Delhi offers more than just premium coffee. The café's design is sleek and modern, featuring minimalist décor, clean lines, and a neutral colour palette. The space is accentuated with strategic lighting that highlights the brand's range of products, providing an immersive experience for coffee aficionados.

As a luxury experiential café, the Nespresso Boutique follows a sleek, minimalist aesthetic. Keeping up with 2025’s interior design trends, it features an open-plan layout with modular furniture that facilitates a seamless customer journey. The space embraces monochromatic tones with textural contrast, utilising matte black surfaces, brushed steel accents, and glossy marble countertops to enhance its premium appeal.

The café’s design follows the principles of retail hospitality, blending a showroom with a café experience. Our Aavarthan Studio experts have always loved the floating shelving system used here to showcase premium coffee products. Interactive digital panels display origin stories and brewing techniques, engaging visitors beyond their immediate coffee consumption.

Lighting plays a pivotal role, with LED strip lighting embedded in display shelves, casting a soft glow on product placements. The seating arrangement leans towards modular and adaptive furniture, with flexible booth seating, standalone café tables, and a tasting bar where customers can engage with baristas.

3. Aban

  • Location: Mehrauli, New Delhi

Aban is a café that has quickly become a favourite among Delhi's youth. The interior boasts a blend of contemporary and rustic elements, with exposed brick walls, industrial lighting, and plush seating. The ambience is both chic and comfortable, making it a perfect spot for both casual hangouts and intimate gatherings.

At Aavarthan Studio, we were discussing how Aban epitomises the industrial-bohemian style - seamlessly blending raw materials with contemporary artistic elements. The exposed concrete walls, blackened steel beams, and distressed wooden flooring here create a moody yet inviting space that appeals to Delhi’s young and artistic crowd.

Again, what we loved here the most was the floating mezzanine seating, which makes optimal use of vertical space at Aban and offers an exclusive, tucked-away ambience. The café integrates local artisanal craftsmanship, with handwoven rattan light fixtures and terracotta sculptures sourced from regional artists.

The spatial zoning strategy is quite effective, segmenting the café into three areas: a communal long-table setup for co-working, an intimate lounging zone with deep-set sofas, and an alfresco seating area adorned with vintage Edison bulbs and firepits, offering a year-round outdoor dining experience.

4. Uncafe

  • Location: Green Park, New Delhi

Uncafe stands out with its health-forward menu and design. The interior is characterised by organic forms, natural textures, and a calming colour palette. The use of fluted arches and ample natural light creates an airy and serene environment, aligning with the café's emphasis on wellness and healthy living.

As interior design experts, we agree that Uncafe is a masterclass in organic modernism. It leverages biomorphic forms and sustainable materials to create a health-conscious, Zen-like retreat in the heart of Delhi. The interior utilises curved fluted archways, polished clay walls, and earthy textures to evoke a sense of tranquillity, reinforcing its holistic dining concept.

The café employs sustainable materials like compressed bamboo panels for flooring, recycled jute textiles for upholstery, and clay-based paints for walls, reducing its carbon footprint while enhancing aesthetic appeal. Seating is arranged in a modular, free-flowing manner, encouraging movement and organic interactions.

A standout feature here is the ceiling-mounted kinetic sculpture, which moves subtly with air currents, adding a dynamic yet calming effect to the space. The lighting is soft and diffused, using handblown glass pendant lamps with warm-toned LED filaments, reinforcing the café’s eco-conscious branding.

5. Kleo

Alt: Kleo

  • Location: Malviya Nagar, New Delhi

Kleo offers a unique blend of Greek aesthetics with Indian textures. The café features a monolithic façade, marble-finish stone cladding, and a soothing blue and white colour scheme. The interior is adorned with a statue of Cleopatra, setting a thematic tone that is both elegant and inviting.

At Aavarthan Studio, we couldn’t help but notice how Kleo blends Hellenistic grandeur with Indian craftsmanship - creating an East-meets-West fusion aesthetic. The café’s monolithic façade with fluted marble panels and whitewashed stucco walls is reminiscent of Greek island architecture. Meanwhile, intricate Mughal-inspired inlay work in the flooring pays homage to Indian artistry.

A central focal point is the Cleopatra statue, set against a backlit, arched alcove that serves as both a design statement and an Instagram-worthy feature. The furniture selection is meticulously curated, featuring plush velvet-upholstered chairs in shades of cerulean blue and terracotta, reinforcing the café’s Mediterranean colour palette.

The café incorporates adaptive lighting technology, where smart LED strips adjust the colour temperature throughout the day to create different moods—cool daylight tones for brunch and warm amber hues for evening diners. The integration of locally sourced sandstone tabletops and handmade ceramic serveware further accentuates the café’s tactile and textural appeal.
